That is a good strategy. Even if you think you know the answer, you should always look back at the passage to double check.

Remember the difference between main idea and details. You have to put all the details together in order to form the main idea. You are right that the main idea is at the beginning and end because it covers the whole passage.

It is important to read all the choices because the people who write the test try to trick you by putting answers like all of the above or none of the above. Don't let them trick you.

Never rely alone on your memory. Think about where you read the answer in the passage, and reread that certain part to see if you are correct.

Yes, take your time answering the questions to make sure you read the questions carefully. The people who write the Iowa Assessment will try and trick you, and we will not let that happen. You will do awesome on the test.
